Felicity Hayward is a mixed-media artist whose practice is deeply shaped by her surroundings in regional Victoria. Since relocating from Melbourne in 2019, her work has evolved from dark, architectural imagery to a more expansive exploration of landscape and abstraction, reflecting both place and process.
For Felicity, the act of creating is often more rewarding than the finished artwork itself. This perspective is informed by her background as a qualified Art Therapist, through which she values art-making as a powerful tool for enhancing physical and emotional well-being. Her work embraces experimentation, intuition, and the transformative potential of the creative process.
Felicity’s passion for art began early, falling in love with painting and drawing at the age of eight after attending oil painting classes with her mother. She has since exhibited widely in numerous solo and group exhibitions and holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Master of Arts Management.
Committed to fostering creative community, Felicity was instrumental in establishing the Mansfield Arts Collective Studios. She believes studio and gallery spaces play a vital role in enabling artists to collaborate, share ideas, and invite the wider community into the often-unseen processes behind artistic practice.
Felicity has completed numerous commissioned artworks for private clients and welcomes enquiries to discuss new commission opportunities.
